Getting Ready

This is my first experience with blogging, I hope to keep this updated all summer so that everyone will know whats going on and what to pray about.

A little background about my trip to Japan. I leave May 22 for base camp, which is training. On May 25 we board a plane to Tokyo! We will be there until August 6. It has been almost a year since Father laid this on my heart. I first felt the call to go to Tokyo during Super Summer in 2009. I could not keep the thought out of my mind. I was hesitant at first, but I knew this was something I had to do. Father really stirred my heart to go while I was at base camp for my trip to Wales. I did not have peace about it until I wrote in my journal that I would go. Just applying took several months of prayer and searching through the Word. I applied, putting the entire thing into Fathers hands. About a month or two later, I can't remember, I received an email telling me I had made it to the interview. I was ecstatic, but super nervous. I went to the interview and knew that Father had everything planned out for his glory. Another month later I got an email telling me that I had been accepted to go! This whole year has been a blur, I've started college, moved away from home, and have been preparing to go to Japan. This year has also been a blessing. I have learned to fully rely on Father and his grace. My hope has to be in Him and only Him.
